Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (40-51) scored more runs than the San Francisco Giants (57-35) last night, 7-6 in 10 innings on a walk-off balk, in the second game of three at Petco Park.

Luis Perdomo (3-4, 7.36) pitched four and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs on eight hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Angel Pagan put the Giants on the scoreboard with a two-run home run in the third inning. In the fifth inning, an RBI double by Buster Posey scored Denard Span. Mac Williamson and Ramiro Pena each hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. And Posey hit a solo home run in the tenth inning.

Jeff Samardzija (9-5, 4.05) surrendered five runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out four. Travis Jankowski stole third base and scored on a throwing error by Posey in the first inning. Ryan Schimpf hit a solo home run in the second inning. In the third inning, Matt Kemp hit a leadoff home run and Alex Dickerson scored on a two-out Schimpf triple off the right center field wall. In the tenth inning, Dickerson scored on Adam Rosales single and Derek Norris came in from third base on a balk called on Santiago Casilla.

Edwin Jackson (0-1, 5.91) makes his Padres debut this afternoon against Johnny Cueto (13-1, 2.47). The series finale starts at 1:40pm PDT.
