Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at The Orbit Room. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (43-58) scored fewer runs than the Toronto Blue Jays (57-44) in twelve innings, 7-6, in the second game of three at the Rogers Centre.

Andrew Cashner (4-7, 4.76) pitched six innings, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six. Josh Donaldson hit a two-run home run with Jose Bautista on base in the first inning. Justin Smoak led off the Blue Jays’ fifth inning with a solo home run. A wild pitch on a Bautista strikeout brought Russell Martin across the plate in the seventh inning. In the twelfth inning, Bautista drew a bases-loaded walk from Paul Clemens to bring Kevin Pillar home, then a ground out by Donaldson drove in Darwin Barney, and another wild pitch by Clemens scored Devon Travis for the game-winning run.

Marcus Stroman (8-4, 4.92) gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six and two-thirds innings. Ryan Schimpf‘s RBI double in the second inning scored Yangervis Solarte. Alex Dickerson hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning, driving in Travis Jankowski and Matt Kemp. Kemp hit a two-run home run in the top of the twelfth inning with Wil Myers on base.

This morning, Luis Perdomo (4-4, 6.93) gets the start in the series finale against R.A. Dickey (7-11, 4.44). First pitch is scheduled for 9:37am PDT.
