After a slight technical snafu last week, we return this week with a solid chat with our Padres Public brethren, David from the Vocal Minority.

We chat fruit cups, this week in weird beer news (lawsuits and Social Media squabbles) and Bob Uecker and furries. Hi-five!

Since it’s National Beer Day, we thought we’d give you two Padres and Pints posts in one day.

On Saturday, while at Padres FanFest, I did my best to hobble around on one knee and scope out some of the changes this year when it comes to beer. Not everything was open but here’s what I found out!

IN:

Mike Hess Brewing

I saw the Habitus Double IPAJucundus Orange Honey Wheat at the San Diego craft beer carts behind home plate on the field level. However based on the picture above, they may rotate it from time to time. There were also Bomber’s of Habitus and Grazias Vienna Cream Ale in the Craft Beers of San Diego stand next to Seaside Market and cans of Claritas Kolsch and Jucundus.

Rumor has it that their new “Open Mike” cans will be there soon too. These cans have removable tops which turns it into a cup and Hess is the first brewery on the West Coast to use this idea.

Also of note: the Jucundus was Brady & I’s celebratory beer of choice for the #BloggersTakeover and it was fantastic.
