Haikuarrhea: Week 22 in Padres Baseball

In an effort to stay close to our roots, the staff at Padres Public, will offer-up a haiku each Monday (sorry – I’m late) to describe the previous week in Padres Baseball. Restricting our feelings to 3 lines and 17 syllables to describe a week of play is a massive undertaking, but (un) fortunately, we are more than up to the task.

This last week was not without challenges for the Padres. They won only once and dropped three games by a margin of 1 run. Despite a couple of fantastic pitching performances the Dodgers still steam-rolled the Padres, sending them home to battle the Giants for last place.

Let’s haiku!

    This season is done
There’s nothing left to play for
    Except drafts and beers
