Will Ferrell Has His Own Baseball Reference Page Now

CBS Sports live blogged Ferrell’s entire day, so I won’t bore you with those details. Everything Will Ferrell did yesterday counted as an official Spring Training stat. So, why not?

Note the transactions section. If I’m Norm McDonald, I’m pretty pissed right now.

Jesse Agler mentioned on the Padres/Angels webcast today that Ferrell also now has a Strat-O-Matic card as well.

That’s right. Every roll of the die would result in a strikeout. Except “five,” which would be a strikeout with injury. Tony Gwynn, he ain’t.

While the hype machine was a little much for me leading up to his appearance at the Padres/Dodgers game, the reasons for this stunt are admirable. Ferrell raised a million dollars for Cancer For College, a Vista-based charity that gives college scholarships to children whose lives have been disrupted by cancer.

You rock, Will Ferrell.
