While You Were (Rain Delay) Drinking 2015 Non-Game ?? (COL vs SD)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending a rainy Sunday afternoon taking cover at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking. And watching Back To The Future II and III on AMC during the rain delay.

The Padres (43-49) had their game against the Colorado Rockies (39-51) called during the fifth inning due to rain. That’s right. I said rain. The first game to be rained out at Petco Park since April 4, 2006.

Since they will be starting from scratch when the game is made up September 10th, Andrew Cashner (3-10, 4.10) and Eddie Butler (3-6, 4.80) stats remain the same. It will be like it never happened. Including Will Middlebrooks‘ two errors at shortstop and Matt Kemp‘s two doubles. Never existed.

Tomorrow night at 7:10pm PDT, the San Francisco Giants (49-43) come to Petco Park for three games. Ian Kennedy (4-9, 4.91) gets the start against the Giants’ Tim Hudson (5-7, 4.68).
