    Actually, Amarista is listed in the media guide at 5’8″. Then again, Jake Peavy was 5’11” in the minors, 6’0″ in the Padres media guide, went to 6’1″ in the White Sox media guide, and I’ll bet he’ll be up to 6’2″ in Boston if he re-signs with them next year! In truth, 5’7″ or 5’8″ for Amarista is just an estimate, and like Steve Garvey’s mythical 5’10” and Mark Twain’s premature death, it’s greatly exaggerated.
