For Immediate Release Regarding Ron Fowler’s Interview

Statement Regarding Ron Fowler’s Comments of
June 1, 2016

In response to the growing number of jokes being thrown around about Ron Fowler’s rant being a modern day equivalent of The Announcement, the Ghost of Ray Kroc has released the following statement for the press and public.

This morning, Padres executive chairman Ron Fowler went on the Dan Sileo Show on Mighty 1090 for the weekly “Padres Wednesday” segment. During this interview, Mr. Fowler was asked about the current situation of the Padres on the field.

“It’s been embarrassing. I don’t know how else to put it. Our performance on the road trip, 1-7, was pathetic.

“I’m a very competitive individual. I think I’ve won a lot more than I’ve lost in my life. This baseball experience has been very frustrating, very embarrassing.

“The performance by our team, I can understand how Kroc would have grabbed the microphone. It’s that frustrating.”

The Ghost of Ray Kroc would like to reiterate that “The Announcement” was just three months after Mr. Kroc purchased the team. Mr. Fowler has been in charge of the Padres for nearly four years. They are not the same and should never be confused with each other.

The Ghost of Ray Kroc resents Mr. Fowler’s attempt to drag his good name into this discussion by comparing his rant to Mr. Kroc’s “Announcement” and is currently discussing potential legal action with his lawyers from the prestigious Anaheim, CA firm of Gus, Ezra, and Phineas, LLC.

About The Ghost of Ray Kroc

He’s not really a ghost and not really Ray Kroc.

About Padres Public was created in February of 2013 out of the flaming wreckage of multiple Padres fan blogs in an attempt to consolidate webclicks into one single website. In its three-plus years of existence, has become a semi-trusted source for analysis and opinion on all things Padres, for some odd reason. We’re not really sure why that is either, so it’s not just you.
