While You Were Drinking: Game 69: (SD vs. AZ)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres defeated Arizona yesterday (4-1) to complete consecutive sweeps at home against first place teams. Clayton Richard pitched for his career yesterday and got the win in 8 fantastic innings of work moving the team to 35-34 . . . which is amazing!  The Padres head to San Francisco to begin a series today.

“When there’s an opportunity, it must be taken advantage of,” Blanks said. Fortuantely (sic), I’ve been able to get regular at-bats lately and I’m doing something with them.”

Logan Forsythe Sick

Logan Forsythe receives screen-grab honors on consecutive days but this time at second base. A fantastic play.

Kyle Blanks hits a big fly to put the game out of reach in the 8th inning. Just a huge AB.

  • Well, nice homestand for our Padres wasn’t it? I was so anxious to see Clayton “get back on his horse” that I went with that as the narrative throughout the game. Worked out well, I think. Thank you for the mention.
